Join the hive
A hive is not one bee. Apis Socialis walks pollinator transects, restores meadows and runs school programmes across Greece and the wider Mediterranean, and almost none of that work is done by paid staff. It is done by people who give a Saturday, a skill, or a standing order.
Take the route that fits the time and the resources you actually have. Nothing on this page commits you to anything: every route starts with a conversation.
Ways to get involved

Become a volunteer
Walk a survey transect, help restore a meadow, or run a bee-hotel workshop in your own neighbourhood. Most volunteers give one or two days a month between March and September.

Donate
Money is the least glamorous route and the one that keeps the other two open. A standing order of any size is worth more to us than a one-off of the same total.
- €50 sows about forty square metres of nectar strip
- €25 a month keeps one monitoring transect walked for a whole season
- €250 pays for a year of specimen identification at one site

Corporate social responsibility
A company that funds a hectare of wildflower verge matters to us exactly as much as the volunteer who walks it every fortnight and writes down what turns up.
- Adopt a named restoration site for one to five years
